MEET Dr. ODetalla
Dr. Fatima Odetalla, DNP, APRN, FNP-bc, PMHNP-bc
Dr. Fatima Odetalla is a dually board-certified Nurse Practitioner in New York.
She graduated in 2013 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, with her dual doctorate degree, in both Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health. UTHSC is also where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009.
With over 10 years of experience in various settings as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Odetalla provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for all ages across the lifespan. Although not affiliated with any hospitals, she collaborates with many other providers and specialists in various disciplines to ensure optimum treatment.

Her experiences include treating depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep disorders, psychosis, and attention deficit disorder, among other conditions. Dr. Odetalla is passionate about treating clients holistically. She embraces an integrative and culturally sensitive approach to diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. She speaks Arabic fluently.

Dr. Odetalla describes having a lifelong fascination with lighthouses. The symbolism of their purpose, to guide ships during rough weather and through the dark, carried over in her passion for helping those with mental health needs, as she seeks to assist her clients with navigating life’s challenges.

Dr. Odetalla enjoys spending time with her family, and hiking in nature. She loves books, animals, and traveling.
